Adrienne Harper-Pike
M.S.W., Aware Parenting Instructor
Lovely to meet you!
Hello! I’d love to share about who I am and how I came to create Alongside Parenting.
I am cisgender, queer parent with a non-binary partner and five-year old twins. My strong desire to create ripples of change and healing in my community is centred in my values of social justice, human rights and equity. After becoming a parent, I realised one of the strongest ways we can create future change is through parenting.
I am committed to providing safe and inclusive communities that recognise diversity and provide culturally and linguistically accessible services.
I believe that through Aware Parenting, children, carers and families can heal from generational hurts, reconnect with their own power, and create strong connection and community. I am moved by the healing and growth opportunities available for children, carers, parents and families through play.
I am willing to create a healthier future by supporting parents to consciously raise children who are seen, heard and supported to become their true selves without shame, guilt, punishments or rewards.
